We are bankruptcy petition preparers. Under the Federal Bankruptcy law, non-attorney bankruptcy preparers can legally type your bankruptcy petition, providing we do not give you any legal advice. (We also provide Do It Yourself Bankruptcy forms and can help you Stop Foreclosure.) We can SAVE you HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS on your bankruptcy.
We prepare all the bankruptcy forms for you based on information you give us. The forms are professionally prepared and typed with very expensive software that makes sure the forms are accepted by the courts. We only complete Chapter 7 bankruptcies at this time due to the new laws. We believe that if you are going into a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, you may wish to hire an attorney.
How It Works
Once you have placed an order, you will be sent to a link where you will answer a questionnaire. This questionnaire will ask things like your address, who is filing, what assets you have, what debts you have, your income and your expenses. This questionnaire will go form by form so that your bankruptcy petition will show exactly what information you have provided to us. The questionnaire is written in plain English.
What Does It Cost
Most states are JUST $125! Each bankruptcy district can set the price that a preparer is allowed to charge their clients, including all preparation, printing and postage. This means some districts are more expensive than others. We have set our pricing around the guidelines of each district. You should never pay more than this cost as the court has an obligation to contact any preparer if they have overcharged a client, and this may mean more time in court answering questions about your preparer.
Petition preparers are NOT allowed to collect the filing fee in most districts. You are responsible for paying the filing fee directly to the court. You can see the pricing in your district on the order page.
